The pinkies are the bugs frozen the most used. When you allow them to choose the birds, they often express a marked preference for this insect. It is a to the skin soft and taste delicious. The pinkies are maggots of a small fly green. The name pinkies is derived from the English word "pink "which means" rose ". It refers to the color that take the to when sapprêtent to pupate.
The fly green or fly golden (Phaenicia sericata fly is relatively common.

The life cycle of linsecte consists of four steps : fly uf larva pupa.

With a length of 10 to 14 mm, the fly can be recognized by its colour changes to blue-green or green-gold metal, with black spots on the back. The larva (maggot) of a fly-green, which feeds mainly on animal tissues.

Because of their carnivorous nature, the larvae are also used in humans for déterger wounds. The larvae are deposited on the skin, where they sattaquent only to the flesh necrotic and infected (asticothérapie).

Therefore, it is recommended to give the pinkies in live animals, because if the larva is not parceled out in the spout, it can cause internal injury, such as perforation of the crop of the chicks.

Before being treated in our facilities, the pinkies should be perfectly pure. This means that the maggots should be free of any trace of food on which they were grown. This is done through a natural process, because in nature, a larva stops eating when it is ready to move on to the next step of its evolution, notably that of the pupa. So it's a matter of organization and timing is perfect.

The result of the process débouillantage and freezing shock provided by our own facilities, the pinkies are free from any bacteria and can be considered as sterile. The residual fraction of bacteria, mold and mildew is in fact well below the applicable standards for food and feed. The frequent monitoring supported by analyses to ensure careful monitoring of the entire procedure. This double standard makes the pinkies even more digestible.
