During the national event in Houten, Gerard & Low Verkerk from Reedijk appeared at the Beyers stand with a number of questions regarding the composition of the mixture of treats. They had some ideas in mind on any improvements in the composition. Given their expertise as a renowned pigeon, we started at work and a new mix of treats was designed. The requirements for development were: maximum absorption, large variation and high fat content. The new mixture was in the first place tested on the Columbins of those who started the process. Both Gerard & Low Verkerk that Gerard & Elly Reedijk Jongekrijg were unanimous: the new blend of treats answered all fronts with the required requirements! The success was soon to arrive on flights. Gerard & Bas won 1st & 4th National S2 Châteauroux 13.512 pigeons, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 10th NPO Châteaudun against 8.855 Pigeons, 4th & 5th Npo Bourges vs. 7,586 Pigeons and they closed the season with a fantastic result on NPO Ruffec (750 km): 8-9-11-12-13-14-15-16-26-27-28-29, etc. (54/59) against 3,839 pigeons.
